HELP PATS system still disableing the Truck

OK I am about to scream. My Fuego tuner was working fine then all of the sudden 1 day I go to change tunes and it enables the PATS system and disables the truck. I thought it may be a bug in the tuner. Now I install a 6 position chip in the computer and same thing. What gives it is ticking me off. By the way this is on my EX. Please help. Thanks

First I've heard of that issue. Sounds like you've got something going on there. I don't have PATS, so I don't even know where to start. Is there some kind of controller for it, outside of the PCM?

No it goes straight into the PCM in the back. My flash tuner started doing the same thing as well. That is why I bought this one. i thought maybe the flash tuner had a bug in it.

Well, then it might be a PCM issue, unless wiring is causing it to go haywire. Have you verified the connector is good (on both sides of the PCM)?

Good on visual inspection. I hope it is not the PCM because I just called ford and it is just over 500$ for one. It runs fine until I try and change it with the flash programmer or the chip. It is weird.

You don't have to get one from the dealer. They can be had for like $100 elsewhere.

For 100 bucks I would give it a try. Where could I get one? I just tried everything I could think of and it still will not work. As soon as I plug it in disabled. Unplug it wham works again. I even tried making sure the switch was on the stock setting and nothing.
