Roland will be on here later today, and he can let you know where he is getting his from. He is waiting for it any day now and I think he got a good deal on it. I'm sure he will post the link he used.
Here is the link to where I ordered mine. 01 02 03 Ford Powerstroke Injector Driver Module IDM:eBay Motors (item 350241903377 end time Dec-22-09 03:00:00 PST)
They offer a lifetime warranty with the return of your old core and pay the return shipping also. Be sure to include the info they require and tell them what voltage the IDM is. Do you have an early or late '99? They had a mix up on my order, but are sending another one out right away. They seem to be good people. I have corresponded with them by email and by phone.
Don't go by the website price. Call the toll free number and tell them you saw it on ebay for 199.00. They will honor this price with warranty. You will have choice between Reman. or MOD. Shipping is 50 bucks.

Thanks for that link. I ordered mine yesterday. gave them the info. Not sure this is going to fix my problem but for 200.00 I'll take the chance. A Curtis
The IDM came in today. I installed it and the truck would not start. I bought this because when it's wet out the truck will go back and forth between running on 7 or 8 cyclinders. The SES comes on while running on 7 and off when running on 8. After it warms up ( and drys out) it will run fine.
While I was waiting on the IDM I removed both valve covers and checked connectors. They looked fine but still put the quarters in them. I also took apart all under hood connectors and put a small amount of dilectric grease on them. Also turned the dog house and got the eingine venting out under the truck. Help keep it clean. I guess I'll wait till it rains again and see if it's still doing it. A Curtis
Have you checked for codes since the SES light was coming on?
I installed mine on Tuesday night. It started fine, but when I ran an injector buzz test I got two codes for circuit problems with # 4 injector. I never saw these codes before when testing. I checked the circuits and tried a known good used 110v IDM (my OEM is a 120v) and the codes went away. I contacted ACE and they are going to send me another IDM. They said they will test it thoroughly before it leaves. I am playing "wait and see" right now. I am running the used 110v IDM until the other one shows up.
I don't have a code reader. I am going to run the truck for awhile and see if anything I did fixes the problem. The prongs on the IDM harness had some oxidation on them maybe that was it. A Curtis
