Wrench Light
Hey guys,
My 2009 F150 Fx4 threw the "Wrench Light" up on the dash the other day so I took it into Ford. According to their computers everything is running like it should. They have a call into the Ford Techs to see if there is any new program updates that would fix this "None" issue except the light on the dash.
Do any of you have any ideas? Has anyone had this happen?
I'm a little ticked off about this as I just bought the truck a week ago with 13,600 miles on it.

That's not good that the Ford men could not tell you more.
I see it has to do with the electronic throttle control (RTT) and it means you are in "limp-home" mode. Says report to dealer at once, which you did.
Check out these threads though:

What was wierd is it never went into "Full Limp Home" Mode, the truck still responded the exact same was it always does like nothing was wrong.
Anyway they got it fixed yesterday afternoon. It was a corrupt computer program. They reloaded a certain fiel and everything was fine after that.

Yes it was covered under warranty as it was a corrupt file in the trucks computer. It had something to do with the computer sending wrong info to the throttle body. I just got done doing a 1000k road trip and it ran great. There was a TSB on the issue they found so you could have your dealership check into.
