What is the FASTEST you can go on any road in your country? (What roads are fastest)

Yes it is rather in a sorry state.. Dnt want to get political other than sayin way WAY much more people dies on the roads than in our rather violent country. And they try to ban LEGAL guns... Sorry im off topic... (Personal opinion)
1100 annual road deaths is a sane number compared to us. You Aussies kick our buts frequenly hey .....

speed limit in denmark on highways is 130 kph, all other ways outside city's 80 kph. not much speed controls but if they get you a time, pretty expensive...... in germany the autobahn is generally not regulated, but real are there not many kilometers without regulation left. ther are roundabout 35% "free".

I've lost all track of the speed limits out in the country where I am.
On the 240 that circles Memphis it is "POSTED" as 55 mph. People (ALL of them) routinely drive at 75 to 80 mph on the western side of it, and nobody ever seems to be troubled by the law for doing that - it's the normal rate of traffic flow. Just over the Mississippi line(to the south) the posted speed goes up to 75, and that is where the real nut-cases are found...
There isn't anything much hairier than having someones Grandparents in a full size diesel motorhome blasting by you at over 90 miles per hour!

here in the uk , generally speaking its a maximum 70mph on our larger roads.
although the police presence does not seem to respond much unless your going over 90mph.
its the damn speed cameras popping up all over the country thats causing major problems.
glad i sold my impreza a few years back , was often running around doing 150-160mph on my private road (i pay road tax , road was empty at the time , so it was my road )at times otherwise i think a few days would have put paid to my licence.
we work on a point system here and if you get over 12 points your usually banned
3 points minimum for speeding , so with all these cameras around you could go out for the day , go through 4 of them and loose your licence before you got home
it sucks driving here.... as they say speed wont kill you , its the stopping really quick that will

I live in Germany and where I live most of the Autobahns are unlimited. Driving my F150, it doesn't make any difference as I only drive 70 mph anyway but if I'm driving a BMW or something its nice to be able to drive at 130 mph. We can drive at 100 km/h (62 mph) on all types of roads which I find fair. The speeding fines are so low it's a joke. The condition of the Autobahn is not as good as in England or Holland but it's OK. Total road traffic deaths in Germany are 5500 for 86,000,000 people. Deaths on the Autobahn are about 500 a year, and many if not most deaths are caused in alcohol based accidents or trucks running into the tail end of queues of traffic so the speed on the Autobahn isn't really a safety problem. Few people actually drive fast, and those who do have very good cars which are capable. I know of many people who have had high speed Autobahn accidents including multiple rolls. As long as the car doesn't stop suddenly you're usually OK.
