"Nuther Thot - Put in a "standard" exhaust and add cutouts. Open the cutouts whenever & close them for "city" driving. The cutouts "handle" can be dash-mounted or remote. Depends on how discreat you want it to be. Some vehicles use dash-mounting for 'full-open' on the strip.
or there is a company that makes electrically actuated cutouts...
Had a friend with those electric ones. They are great until about 2 years later. All the road grime and just wear and tear strips the actuator and they won't seal completely, then you get an annoying whistle. How hard is it to pull a little **** anyway?
Sorry guys, I've been a little busy and haven't been able to get my friend over to get the last bit of the video we need. We have some before, like the muffler I had and no headers, some driving vid of open headers cruising at 35mph, and now I just need some vid of the new exhaust. I decided to try out the dynomax bullets, people here were saying that they were a little louder and liked the sound of them more than the glasspacks, but I dunno, I like everything.
They are quite loud, not too much of a tone to them if you can imagine that. It's mostly just 2.5" pipe going into a 3" section of flared pipe, the mufflers, back into 2.5" pipe, then out the exits behind the tires. It's pretty much just really loud. I personally think it sounds pretty cool, and I like being able to hear it echo off other cars while going past them, and while like idling through downtown, lol. You really can hear the choppy idle from the cam with it though, which is pretty cool.
It is much louder than I expected, so I kinda have to be easy on the throttle when around cops and such, but other than that it's all good. If I do get a ticket for too loud of an exhaust, I might try the Super 44s, I'm not sure. I've only heard the Super 40s on a 351m. But for now, I like it, and I'll try to get a video up here as soon as I can. So just stick with me here, lol
