1994-f150 runs rough after 3-4 mins
my 1994 ford f-150 is running rough after 3-4 mins I have replacet the rotor/dist cap/pickup modual in dist /plugs/wires /02 senser/map senser/temp senser/intake gas senser/fuel filter /i have checked rail presure it is 52lbs and the timming in rite on .could it be a injectior? i am stumppet p/s also checket pvc its ok need some very helpful knowledge thanks

how chould i check fuel injectiors to see if they are working properly ?

get a cheap mechanics stethescope and listen for ticking at each injector. you can also use a long screwdriver, just put the tip against the injector, and the handle against your ear.
did you leave the fuel press. tester on while it was running to see if the pressure droped when it started idling poorly.

Have you ever pulled any codes to see what the computer thinks is going on? How to Run a Self Test
52 psi on the rails is too high if you have a V8. Most of the posts I see indicate ~39 psi at idle in the norm. My own '92 F350 w/5.8L engine also runs the same. If you have a six cylinder that pressure is in range. For reference of how the Fuel Pressure Regulator works: Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR)

yes mr finch i left fuel presure gage on to see any drop or changes when reving motor up presure weant up a little but it never dropet below 42lbs all this happens when motor is warmed up and even when driving at times it will clear it self for a few minets and then start missing and jerking but it never never back fires got me going nuts ?

I also did a vac test to see if there was any leaks well let me clear up somthing here i just put a bandnew motor in the truck about 6 weeks ago and now all these other problems cam about i have checket every thing from timming to fuel vac and as i said changed all the parts as i said pryer and the rail presure was only 42psi and raises only a little when reving motor ? i am stumpet

That's a problem right there. Even without any error codes you should get 111. I see no mention of having the ICM tested or replaced. What about grounds, have you checked them? Did the problem start when you changed the motor? Have you went back and verified all the wire connections are clean and tight?
