Are you also using any high-gauss magnets to collect any ferrous "soot"?

I'm using two small ones, but they do a good job of grabbing stuff passing by.

I clean them when I change the filter, which is around every year and a half.

I use them on the outside of the filter. also on oil filter.

Do you think they are as effective on the other side of the can?

If they are, it would allow me to put larger, more powerful ones in place.

Marv, they are pricey...real pricey...but years ago when cash was flowing and I was throwing money at my Lightning, I bought one of these to use on my oil filter.

Yeah they work just as well, probably better as U can put bigger an more out side around the filter. I got mine from JC whitney. pretty cheap
