Glad I went and picked up my parts yesterday,as snowing now. Found a hood and radiator and driveline from a 56 f350. The hood is really nice.
It turns out.s the guy has a mchine shop and new me. His Dad knew my whole family and he showed me his machinery and product line and b.s. for 3 hours about machining ,etc.
Hauled the parts home and need to get the panel over here but hate to get cold.
Wife wants me to go shopping....I said I did....yesterday. Truck parts....LOL

I continuously search all the wbsites and follow leads I get. I also travel alot. I am always keeping enough money on hand to buy a truck or parts when I find them.
I just today found another nice 56 hood, and a 53 panel.....Bill

Hey Bill you got any details on the 53 panel? What condition--original or modified-price. Just curious since I've got one. I've been crazy busy at the store this week with x-mas and a guy out on vacation--I worked about 13 hours today and my back is killing me. Oh well I'll take it while I can because after the first of January things will slow down. Plus my plow truck is in the shop--new u-joints and wheel bearings for the front axle, and my other truck (the F-250) needs ball joints soon before the tires on the front are ruined...the fun never stops.

Slappy....I have found 2 53s and 1 56 and a 55. I got the 55 for 5500. and it is super clean. The 53 sold last night for 500.00 and it was complete but needed rust repair, etc. The other price is 3000 and it is real nice also.
I would reconfigure the price of 10k if you really want to sell it. Also, wait till spring...bad time to sell now. I have been buying left and right...with all the deals.

My back is bad, but holding on for now. It always seems we need to rebuild something the day we need to use it....LOL

Brian, good point. My Mother and Father taught us kids that and I always remembered it.
Why not take the time to write CHRISTMAS completely instead of abbreviating it? Hope this gets the right response....Slappy is cool!!

Sorry I use short hand when I type--you will notice I did not spell out universal when I was talking about my u-joints either. So you know I say "Merry Christmas" to people and not "Happy Holidays" but don't worry I don't think you are an a##. Anyhow Bill now I'm thinking I want to keep the truck and work on it some. See if you can get the wife to post some pics of the newest toy. Merry CHRISTMAS to all.
