I was heading home on a 17 hour drive and was an hour into my drive when I started hearing this droning or slight vibration noise coming from what I thought was my passenger front tire. I stopped at a gas station and when I looked under my truck there was tranny fluid blown all over underneath my truck, i could not tell where the leak was coming from. I started my truck and looked underneath again, the leak seems to be coming from inside the bell housing. What has gone out? torque converter, a pump, or a seal? I checked the dip stick for the trany and the fluid level was fine.

 

Torque converter seal has gone bad.
