Even though your poll is designed to be simplistic, I must tell you that I prefer the straight bar grille, (73 to 75) due to the design and clean lines. I will use this grille before I install a 78 custom grille, or a grille with any other round healight design.
My preference is a chrome insert with chrome headlight doors, in a straight 78/9 shell.

Fun poll.
I too, like the chrome grill and chrome headlight doors/frames. I would not want a '78 custom grill with the round head lights, and no chrome. Just my preference

I think the 78-79 are more refined and asthetically pleasing...but I think the 73-77 grilles are more 'in your face'.

I agree. the 78 and 79 are much better. I don't hate the others, but I would try to buy a 78 79 over the earlier ones. I also like the 67 truck style over the split type in the early 70s. not sure when they switched back then, but it was kinda reverse what they did with the 73 to 79 trucks.

76-77 all the way! I like the older ones too but I plan to do the billet grille in the inserts so I need the 76-77 insert to do that. I like them all but mine is my favorite. It has been since I was about 12.

There was a time that I thought the 78-79's were the best, but now I really like the looks of the 73-75's with the clear turn signal lens, just like the one my dad had on his 73 F250 when I was a kid.

I agree with liking the clear turn signals. I plan to buy a set for my 76. They give it a cleaner look. Amber lenses have never looked good to me.

I'm actually the opposite. I prefer the ambers. My 77 F-150 has the ambers. My 76 F-250 has the clears. And get this, my 1977 Ranger XLT 2wd has one of each, that one should keep everyone happy! haha.

But yet on my 1992 Mustang I replaced the amber marker lights with aftermarket clears! I think the clears look much better on those.

And I actually bought brand new ambers for my 77 F-150 from Ford, I have not intalled them. My originals are decent but I couldn't believe Ford could still get them, especially since I think they were only used for 1.5 years and I get a discount on top of that. Couldn't pass it up. I never checked if they could get the clears.

Let me know when you want to give me the clears off that F250 I just don't like the color of amber turn signals yellow would be better but I prefer clear.

Im really torn. The black truck is my old one that I got rid of to build the 79. I really want to change over the 79 but 1) Cant find the parts I need to change it over and 2) Im not sure if it will look as good. The brown looks like a 79 to me. But I really do like the 73-77 better.

With exception of the '78 with round headlights, I like them all but I now prefer how F O R D is spelled out in the grill on the '73-'77 instead of on the hood on the '78-'79. Looks tough and makes the hood look cleaner.
