Put a stat in it man.. it's taking forever to go closed loop without one so the computer isn't learning what the motor needs. E cam will not idle like stock but it should be relatively stable if everything is working right. Are you using 19lb injectors or something bigger?
I bet if you had a datalogger you would see what's up, I'm having a lot of fun with my TweecerRT trying things.

what do you mean more spark? you mean timing curve? doesn't the voltage of your ignition coil and plug gap determine how much spark there is? i use autolight plugs in my motor but i use a different heat range than you would because i have a nitrous motor.

yea conanski i know that,(not tryin to be a smartass, lol)i just havent had time, the more spark thing on my tuner is that u can add more spark at wot,and alot of other things.im really leaning towards getting a moates quaterhorse, tweecer is kinda high in price for me,and the moates stuff has alot of options like chip burners and stuff.i was messing with my tuner the other day and changed the maf table to one from a 95w4ho eec,and it idled alot better but i messed somthin up in the tune, lol and it wouldnt hardly start.the maf table on the a9p and a9l is high at idle like around 13 at idle and the 95s was like 8,if u know wut im talking about, lol.i dont have alaptop yet so the datalogging stuff will have to wait till after christmas.but yea conanski the tuning thing is kinda fun.with my tuner u can change all kinds of stuff on the 94-95 eec,all the shift points and all that.

and right now im using stock 19 lbs injectors,i have a question about injectors, the ones im using were in the speed density system in the truck, are injectors different from mass air set ups?i have the ones from the car i got the other stuff from.and as far as the idle i have heard alot of stuff with ecams and bcams and it didnt idle nuthing like this,it has alot of torque,it will spin "the" tire like hell from a stop,it has good throttle response and all but just doesnt idle very good,it acts like a carb thats loading up real bad.

hey conanski could u give me some help on tuning if u know some good stuff about it.

conanski on your wideband, well on ur efi set up how many 02s do u need, one or two,im wanting to get a wideband for tuning but would it work good just in one bank?could u tune with that?i know u can make the wideband feed the eec like the narrow band.does the wideband read correctly at idle, someone told me they arent good except at wot.

No difference in those injectors, the orange top 19lbers are all the same. I was messin with the timing curves today myself, pretty cool that you can highlight a whole block in the base timing table for example and just add 5 degrees across the board.

My truck has been running a single O2 sensor in passenger exhaust header right up until today, and it runs fine like that. I have been meaning to modify my truck for dual sensors for some time and finally got around to it, just wanted to see if it makes any difference. And no it really doesn't make any difference, fuel trims are pretty much identical on both banks with dual sensors just like they are when only using one. I'm thinking it would only matter if there is a bad injector. I am currently using the narrowband output from my wideband to drive the second input on the EEC and it works as expected. These sensors have to calibrated in free air to produce accurate results too, if done in the exhaust pipe the readings will be way off.

wut eec are u running?u know how the a9p and a9l need two sensors,i have both hooked up to my stock o2sensor,so im hoping when i put one in each pipe it will run a lil better.my tuner isnt as advanced as urs is,on mine is set up like this

i dont know much about how the tweecer works, but mine is pretty simple just cant log with it.but on mine u just go in there and change the numbers to wut u want then download it to the eec,and my tuner u can use a p.c with,it has a power cord that plugs up to the board in the eec,so thats one reason i got it,i have no laptop and it only cost me 100,and i wanted it to turn off the egr and thermactor stuff, and i can use it to control the fan with the ect

You got all the main stuff there it's just not displayed as fancy as it is with the Tweecer. You definitely need a wideband to do any tuning, otherwise you'll never know if what you're doing is improving things or not. Here are a couple screen shots from Binary Editor.. that's the software I am using with the Tweecer. Everything is displayed in tables and graphs and it also has a dashboard to display all the parameters being dataloged in real time. I'll get a another screenshot of that and post it too.

Here's the dashboard shot I was talking about. The software accepts the wideband O2 data from several popular devices like the LC-1 so it can be displayed and datalogged along with everything else. Engine was idling when this was captured.
