I have a leaking return line on my #8 injector. I ordered the kit to replace the lines and O-rings. I notice on my engine though that one of the return lines has worm gear style hose clamps instead of the spring style, obviously the previous owner replaced this hose at some point. Would it be a good idea to retrofit the rest of the new hoses with the worm gear clamps or should I just leave it as is
i wouldn't.you can over tighten those if your not careful, then you could have leaks again.
just use everything from your new kit when you get it.
the spring type are very secure and come with the kit.
Spring clamps are better because they hold a constant pressure on the hose unlike the screw style which relies on the hose elasticity and compression. Plus with such a small hose and barb, you could easily over tighten resulting in a snapped off barb on the return cap.
