Question Firestone Ride-rites for my truck

I'm interested in buying a set of Firestone Ride-rites for my truck and I'm wondering which part number I should get?

My truck is a 2005 Ford F-250 CC/SB, FX4. I don't have an in-bed hitch, but I may add one later. I want a kit that I don't have to drill into the frame rails.

I've received conflicting responses from different vendors as to which part number I need, so I figured I'd ask here.

Thanks in advance.

I have then sames ones on my truck. They work great so far pulling my gooseneck horse trailer, I have the B&W turnover hitch on there as well.
As you can see though I have the 4 inch spacers because of the 4 inch lift in my truck.

I agree, I like the Firestone's better (seem alot simpler) and I just use a bike pump, very easy! I also have a B&W Hitch. I'm sure they have all the info you need on their website?

Thanks for the advice, but that's where the problem comes in. We've emailed Firestone directly and they gave me a different part number than what is listed on their website. To complicate matters most, I called the vendor I wanted to buy them from and he gave me even a different part number than the 2 supplied by Firestone. So, that's where my confusion comes from.

I do want the Firestone airbags, I just want to make sure that they are a "drill-less" set for my 2005 F-250 CC/SB 4x4. If they accomodate an in-bed hitch, I'm okay with that because I may add one later. I just want to know the exact part number that will fit my truck so I'm not stuck with $300 worth of parts that don't work for me. Thanks again!

I ran into the same problem, firestone gave me the part number for 2008's and up, and I have a 2006. The part number I ordered was 2450 that firestone gave me. I ordered my from suspension connection. Not to hard to put on, took me about a half of day.

And yes you can add the on board compressor later, you would just maybe have to purchase extra air hose, depends on where you mount the compressor at. I do not see the need for it other then the convenience.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who got a little runaround.

For my truck, I've seen 3 different numbers: 2400, 2071, and 2452. The website says 2452, but the Firestone rep says 2400, and the place I would like to purchase them from says 2071. Hence the confusion!

I just want someone to say: "I ordered part #XXXX and it installed perfectly with no drilling" and I will jump on it.

Thanks Raul. I'll add that one to my pile of confusion!

And to think that all I wanted was a straight answer for the part number for my truck and I would've bought these a week ago.

Let me see if I can un confuse this for you.
First the numbers
2400- Is for a truck w/o a in bed hitch
2071- Is for a truck w/o a hitch installs on top of the leaf springs
2452- Is for 2 wheel drive w/o a hitch
2400- Is for a truck w/o a hitch
2071- Installs on top of the leaf springs so it cannot be used with a turnover ball hitch

And there may be the problem, in your org post you said you may want a in bed hitch. There are allot of in bed hitchs out there, and some of these air bags will work with them. But none of these numbers here will work with a B&W turn over ball hitch, or other brand names of hitchs that have a turn over ball with the release handle coming out of the frame by the drivers side tire. So i think you need to be more specific on which hitch you are thinking about going with, ( Gooseneck, fifth wheel ). I like my B&W gooseneck and if I want a fifth wheel hitch I will just by the companion hitch. I would recomend the 2450 it mounts inside the frame rails so you can put any kind of hitch you want in your truck later. Hope this helps.

Order the Firestone 2400 kit. I put them on my 2006 F-350 with a Reese Signature Series 18K hitch. No interference between hitch and bag brackets. No drill.

I did have to pull the hitch plates off the sides of the frame by removing 4 bolts, but I left the hitch in the bed and the crossbars in place. After I got the bags installed, I put the plates back on with no problem - that added maybe 15 minutes per side to the job.
