vechicle can catch on fire? due to a speed control deativation switch may leak break fluid? any input on this being a good or bad idea on sending to ford for the recall??????

 

There is a slight possibility that the switch will leak brake fluid and catch fire.. I am doing the recall.. but i would tell the dealer not to change anything else on the truck without my permission.. I have noticed news reports of vehicles catching on fire and burning their house because of this problem.. not a good outcome.

 

If you still have a black CPS, you either need to really know your dealer well, or swap a gray one in there first before doing this recall.

There's no harm in getting the cruise switch recall done, just don't let them touch a black CPS. The gasser guys already had this done years ago, but it was smart of you to ask.

 

i think im going to tell them to do all recalls but i will need all old parts back. and if they cant do that they wont get my baby

 

Personally I don't trust the scammers at the stealership up here farther than I could toss a super duty... oh wait... I CAN'T toss a super duty. I'm just gonna buy the thing myself and do my own install.
