No, I have been carefully reinstalling it at each oil change, about once a year due to mileage. Just tired of being nervous about it every time I change the oil. Like the idea of the Fumoto just worried that it will not get tight and I will be right back where I started......

If you were worried about it 6 yrs ago, and have loosened and tighten the plug once a year since then, carefully, (6 times), then all you have to do is do it ONE more time with the fumoto and be done with it....
