The "Potato Chip" syndrome.

Yes, I'm afraid it's true. I love these old dentside trucks. I have three plus a '49 F1. ....and I still look at every ad on CL.

I've often said these trucks are like potato chips. Ya' can't have just ONE.

Show off your collection!

This is Alice and Earthquake...

...and ole' Ka'Bluey. He's my foster kid until his real owner can buy him back.

The '49 is hiding behind Ka'Bluey, there. That's a project for next year some time when the other trucks are closer to done.

Post 'em up! Let's see what ya' got!

Not too tuff to figger out which ones Alice and which ones Earthquake. I'm diggin' Alice's slotted mags big-time...I've got a thing for black steelies and slotted mags, all of my vehicles end up with one or the other eventually (last half dozen or so got steelies, aluminiumium wasn't in the budget).

Cool trucks, thanks for the pics.

The Collection

As you can see by my sig I play the big three...

Trucks? 'got a 2wd Bump (the super farm truck), a 4x4 Dent (apocalypse assault vehicle), and an 01 SuperCrew (tailgating machine). Two Mustangs... why two? I dunno! Why not?

'71 Lemans Sport Convertible. I couldn't pass it up because it was dirt cheap. It's got air conditioning, a power convertible top, power steering, and power brakes. Now it wears a full Hotchkis TVS suspension, American Racing wheels (like Ford's Magnum 500s), and Firestone Wide Oval tires...245/40-17s and fat 275/40-17s in back:

My insurance company loves me.

Beautiful Pontiac, brought back memories of good times with my buddy and his '71 Pontiac GT-37 400 / 4spd ..... was prettier in front than a GTO that year ....

Well Alan you have been to my mini Ford Ranch/Ford-aholics clinic and have worked on one or two in the herd and received parts off some others.

Here are some old pics of ones I do not even have any more and then how its changed over time. And thanks again Alan for working your magic on ol red.

Yea I had to sneak the bronco in there. And there is a missing pic of a maroon 4x4 79 F250 reg cab flat bed I bought and sold a few weeks later.

And the last is a pic from way back, I had the grey 66 in 82, the maroon and white 73 is my first dent side Ford back in 1983 and had the blue 79 in 86.

I still cruise the Craigslist for 73-79's almost every day always looking for another one.

Dang I have had the trucks over the years......

Thanks its all started with my brother in law's truck years ago when I was 13 and his black 78 F250 w/6" lift, 15x38 Ground Hawgs, straight pipes, I've been hooked ever since.

I have had a few over the years and just love that 73-79 body style. You have a slick 58 your self, I miss my old 66 with a swapped in 429 and N50's on the back, great truck to have at 15.

potato chips is right

Know just what ya mean. Bought a 78 4x4 brand new in 78 and have been hooked ever since. I have 10 of them tagged and insured, all 78 or 79 except 1 76. have 4 more that run but not tagged and about 20 out back for parts or projects. I have pics of them lined up but have not yet figured how to post pics here.

Wow! Some serious players here. I wish I had the space to collect more but I'm stuck in suburbia and my garage and driveway are already full.

Nut'n fancy here:

My daily driver: 2011 Mustang GT with Vortech Supercharger!

My other project: 1972 Ford Mustang, 460V8, C6 (I've owned it since 1980 - 2nd owner... and I changed everything)

more recent condition... :-( Needs TLC. It's been parked for a very long time.

Wife's cream puff low mileage Tundra

My current love affair: 78 F-250
