funny thing about ages... some folks will 'type you for being too young, 18-25...some 'typing you as being old... 40-50's. nice thing about this forum is the energy and experience brought by everyone regardless of age... or sex for that matter. my granddaughter and grandson are vying for my old truck when i turn in my lunchpail...but that won't be for a while, i'm only 56. best. himmelberg
I'm 30 years old goin on 18 . I've never had a vehicle bought for me, and I won't let anyone work on my truck for me. A man's ford is like his girl friend........don't fondle, caress, or steal.
boy you said it docholiday!
well I will be 27 Jan. 31st, I been playin with ford trucks since I was 16. my first truck was a 67 f100 and I will never forget it!
I have had many ford pickups since then, and loved em all.
I also think its great to see all of us together enjoying the same passion regardless of age, race, or gender. oh yeah nobody is "old" unless they think they are.
Well I am only 20, but is kinda funny to watch all those kid stare when a girl drives a truck. I have a 96 f-150 that is my baby. And the 6's either I got the v8. no offense to 6's. Just not enough power for me.
Im 20. Just got my truck back home from the shop. Now its time to do some real damage. 84 F150 300I6. Getting 6in superlift 2in body and some37s pretty soon, she's going to be sweeeeeeet!!!
Originally posted by GolferSA I hit the Big Five-0 in July... got my driver's license the year my truck was made... 'course I couldn't have afforded it back then, not sure I can now!
41... Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway! I used a Hayne's manual to teach myself how to rebuild the straight 6 200 in my 67 Mustang when I was 16 and haven't looked back since...
josie, girl you said it. i totally agree. it's great to pull into a parking lot with people and touch the pipes just a hair. guys jaws drop to see a woman behind the wheel. i've been asked countless times "so where's your man and how'd you get outta the house with his truck?"... uhm, she's mine honey... (jaw drops, i grin) see yaaaa... i'll be 23 in january and been driving one ford truck or another since i was 16. didn't start doing most of my own work until i dated a pontiac lover and spent tons of time under the hood on his junk and his chevy friends junk and found out i like it so now i do all the little stuff that comes up myself.
I think you ladies just live in the sticks and are used to the red-neck attitude! (just kidding...)
I've noticed a lot more women getting into working on their own toys; I think it's great! The more people interested in keeping the older cars and trucks on the road the better...
