Maintenance - 4X4 Service and PS fluid flush

Truck is a 2005 F150 4X4 5.4L 70,000 miles

The dealership I had my oil changed at yesterday said I need these two things:
  • A "4X4 service". I can only guess they meant axle fluid change and transfer case fluid change. I've had the transfer case fluid changed twice already. According to the manual, the rear axle fluid never requires changing (unless submerged in water) and the front I think was due at 150,000 miles.
  • Power steering fluid flush. Why would I need that? Nothing about it in the manual.
Other than they're trying to stir up some business, is there any reason I would need these things done?

Thanks.

They're trying to stir up some business, you came in for something they don't make any money on, so they gotta try to make some money somehwere.

That's exactly what they mean my 4x4 service: swap the fluids, lube things up, and that's it.

Powersteering flush: not sure how to do it on an F150, but on the F250/350 and Excursions, it's ridiculously easy to do...I laughed when I found out how to do it.

It's mostly "Dealership Jedi Mind-tricks", it's mean to confuse you into spending money for something you either don't need or can do yourself.
