Any brand fluid? Whats a good fluid to go with?Theres nothing special to do to flush the fluid in these trucks right? Same as any other vehicle right? And any idea what size hose to fit over the bleeder valve on caliper?
I used a DOT-3 brake fluid and put a hose on the bleeder, don't remember the size, then opened the bleeder at the rear passenger and let it gravitate out while keeping the bowl full. Then went to the other calipers and did the same.

So No need to pump brake pedal? Gravity will do it?
Edit: I did mine this way but used compressed air at about 10 psi attached to a schrader valve I mounted on an old brake reservoir cap. I didn't have access to a speed bleeder. Couldn't get it to seal very well but it was faster then gravity. Had my neighbor pump the brake after fluid flush just to be sure I got all the air out at each caliper.

Yes, gravity will do it. It may take a little longer then the link Robin has but it worked great for me. I just let it drain and drain, with beer between filling the bowl.
Anyone ever use a vacuum bleeder? My old neighbor was a retired Porsche mechanic and swore by them. He offered to let me use his once, but the fittings didn't work with the fittings I had on my compressor/air hose.
Got it done last night. Tried the gravity bleeding but unless i was willing to wait 4 hours it wasnt gonna work. Wife pumped while I turned the bleeders. Brakes really needed a bleed too. My truck stops soooo much quicker.... Thanks
