Importing a Bronco from the Southern States.

I want to get a southern 1994-95 Bronco imported up to Ontario. Has anyone done this or had this done. Can I do it myself, or is there a service I can use. I would buy it on-line or something and then fly down to drive it back. I love the bronco's, but cannot find any up here that are rust free.

Thanks.

There is one for sale in ?(Erinsville) right on Highway 41.

At the North end of the village.

If it isn't Erinsville,it is the next village north of it.

If you are really concerned hire a customs broker. IF not, just make sure you have a bill of sale and clean title comming across the border.
Also - you may want to contact the Southern Truck Parts guy in Lindsay.

Your going to have to hire a customs broker for this. Contact Livingstone Int they specialize in personal imports .The have offices
at every border and at most inland ports and customs houses. If you let me know your location I can give you a phone# for an office near you. Trying to do this with out them will be a nightmare.

Also if you let me know where the truck is coming from and going to I could give you a price on geting it up here and cleared at the border.

Yeah Nutter is right - a broker will save you a BIG headache at the border. Better safe then sorry.

If you go with a vehicle 15 years or older, things are a heck of alot easier... It doesn't have to pass any government inspections and, you pay taxes on the dollar value on the bill of sale. For my 82, that was $25... Then you go and register it same as you would if you bought it down the street...
For the newer ones, normally, you usually end up paying taxes on the book value. It then has to be inspected at a government certified garage(91+ have to have DRL's retrofitted to comply) and a bunch of other fun stuff...
The older Broncs are nicer anyway, how about a 66-77 EB?

Ok, thanks guys. Maybe I will just look a little harder around here for a clean 1996 Bronco.
