Sweet Deal On Leveling Kit!
I wanted to share this with those who are looking.
Amazon.com: Tuff Country 22958 2.5" Leveling Kit: Automotive
I have been wanting to level the front end of my truck and was leaning very heavily to the mini spring packs. I found this same one on Ebay for $100 more and $50 to ship. This one comes with free shipping too.
Just wanted to share it with all of you.

I don't tow much with my truck so this is more of an eye appeal thing for me. I am toying with the idea of buying a small TT for JL and I, if I do go that route I may consider air bags for the rear.

The Amazon page shows springs, shocks, and U-bolts.
It also lists the shipping weight at about 18 pounds.
How can that be possible?
Jim, is this what you're getting?

I was going to ask if airbags would negate the front end pointing at the sky when towing.
Everyone lifts their trucks bigtime here. They run those 1-2' drop tow hitches. When they have a trailer on, their rear end looks as low as it would stock and the front end is up at a 30 degree angle. Functionality - gone. To each their own though.

I put a rough country 2.5" hanger lift on the front of mine. Easy install and rides great. I added a 1" add aleaf to the rear b/c i pull my tractor all the time and it sits perfectly level with the trailer and tractor and has a 3/4" rake when unloaded. Heres the link for the lift i got off ebay. I got mine for $209 with free shipping. I also added an adjustable track bar to keep my axle from shifting to the driverside. 99-04 Ford F250 F350 Super Duty Leveling 2.5" Lift Kit:eBay Motors (item 380171781799 end time Nov-02-09 06:47:33 PST)

That is a sweet deal. I had been looking at the same kit, but all the ones I have seen are listed as different numbers for gas or diesel like on this page:Ford Lift Kits - 2000-2004 Ford F250/F350 Super Duty 4wd - 2.5" FRONT Leveling Kit
It shows 2 different part numbers when you pull down the engine selection bar. (#22962 for diesel). I have also noticed that the part number you lised from Amazon is referenced as the instruction sheet number for all of tuff-country's 99-04 leveling kits, including the complete spring kits.
So I am very curious what you get from Amazon, please keep us updated. If the kit works out well for you, I am definitely ordering one too!
EDIT: just found this http://www.streetsideauto.com/produc...YMM&Reset=True
Notice it says "leaf packs and shocks sold seperately" - I hope thats not true (on the leaf packs)

Just some more food for thought... I was planning on buying this kit which appears to be the same as the tuff-country 22962 - here at summit: Summit Racing SUM-G782 - Summit Racing® Front Suspension Leveling Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com
The price is 262.95 and I found a discount code (2RETYV - put it in the "source code" box at checkout) for 10% off. Shipping is 11.95+7.50
Total shipped: $256.10
If the amazon kit doesnt come with the spring packs, the summit kit is the cheapest I've found.

Mine is already leveled but still wanted to check this out, since I think all my leaf packs are getting a little weak. Anyway, these "notes" were at the bottom of the chart on THIS PAGE from Tuff Country's website and appear to apply to SuperDuty's up to 2004:
Note: Any Ford F250/F350 2000-2004 equipped with a 3/4" track bar should replace it with a 1" track bar or not lift the vehicle. Tuff Country now offers a 1" replacement track bar (#20950).
(a) Leaf Packs (added to existing leaf springs)
Air bags would help, but what would probably help most is getting the proper drop hitch. My 99 has the front leveled, is a 4x4, and sits high... stock. My drop hitch is something like 6" or 7", I can't remember which exactly. By not having sufficient drop, they may be forcing extra weight on to the hitch due to mechanical leverage... and not using the right part for the job. They're asking for a catastrophic failure at some point, with potentially catastrophic results. Once the proper drop hitch is being used, air bags will help to support and level the rear, while providing for extra stability. I don't have air bags and comfortably tow my 26' v-nose trailer. Fully loaded it's only 7,000lbs, and she sits down a little in the back, but nothing like what you're describing.

Edit: Wheel position on the trailer and position of the weight would come into play too.
