Just wondering if I need a special tool for removing my stereo on my 03 escape?

 

If it is like the '04, '05 and '06 Escapes I have owned, you will need the extraction tools to remove the stereo. Cost you about three bucks at the parts store.

If you have two holes on each end of the stereo, this is where the tools get inserted. Not hard to do at all....

 

You can also use a piece of wire coat hanger bent and inserted into the holes thats what I used to remove the radio in my 01
