Andy, you read my mind. Originally, I was going to write:

Have you noticed the difference in the lengths of the two engines?

To say nothing of the fact that one is a six and one is an eight cylinder.
But I bit my tongue.

Better than a 302 cam in a 300 would be to route your exhaust directly into your intake. It's kind of like a "poor man's turbo".

yes... just weld 2 together and it will

be sure to have them aligned you don't want a crooked camshaft!

Wow... bunch of jerks in here today.

I thought this site was supposed to be helpful. I know that when I first started I asked questions that seem stupid to me now, and I'm sure you guys had to start somewhere too.

Short answer is that it will not work. They are going to be completely different cam profiles, not to mention that there's going to be too many lobes on the 5.0 cam. Your best bet is to look into an aftermarket cam, or some different roller rockers. I was contemplating camming my straight 6 too, but keep in mind that typically the further you get from stock, the more your reliablity suffers. You have a great engine, drive it for what it is. And don't mind some of the retarded responses you get on this site. People here tend to be helpful most of the time, actually.
