Thanks for all the info! It's next on my list. If I could get just a little more power out of it, I would be so happy, and I would drive it forever (which I plan on doing anyway). Did you install it? Have any pictures? How does the trans. temp readout work? So many questions!!!

Here is a video, very easy to install, just plug and play.

http://www.edgeproducts.com/download...pvk=277&type=3

There is a big list of guages that you can monitor and you can monitor up to 4 at one time. They are on the display screen in the form of digital numbers. You choose how many guages and what you want it to show you.

i have tried the unplug the battery thing in hopes that it would relearn my habits better, but it just keeps coming out the same. The edge definately picked up what i wanted the truck to do and im very very please.

If I could make mine go up hills better (sounds dumb) I would be happy. Now it doesn't even want to maintain a speed. After losing a few MPH going up a hill (and feeling like it is bogged down) it answers by downshifting. And then that just holds the current speed. It's hard to explain.

Edit: And my truck must think I'm a grandpa. Every time I disconnect the battery it always does the same thing..

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR SAYING!

There is nothing wrong with your truck, thats how the 4.6 is supposed to run, (unless your truck and my truck have the same exact problem). The Edge cures alot of that, i still get a slight bog down on really big hills, or if im driving like a grandpa when i reach a hill, but im sure messing with the shift points and torque converter lock and unlock will solve that problem i just havent got to it yet. Guy, just get an edge, the time you have spent writing about your trucks problems and me telling you its not problems its just the way the truck runs, you could have had your Edge already. Just Do IT!

I don't know what gears you guys are running in those pick ups but alot of the problem could be solved with a 3.73 or mebbe even a 4.10 (what I am going to get for mine).

Otherwise the Edge is a good overall choice, IMO.

And when I am going from Austin to Spring and vice-versa I can get it up to 19 if I can keep off over-passes and large hills. Man, I can only imagine what my mileage would be in Kansas.

xjcamaro89: Are you still running .50 spark advance? And what octane fuel are you using?

No, im just running level 2, .50 advance was ok, but made the truck throttle to touchy and jumpy. Im just running the stock level 2 tune, and still love it.

oh ya, and 87 octane

XJC, You cracked me up with the nitrous coments! I'm still waiting on my actuators, so I can stop driving everywhere with the front end engaged. Frankly, the 4.6 is plenty peppy for my most of the time, even with the front end dragging and no Edge. After your enthusiastic testimonial though, I now feel the demand to get one of those.

I just got my truck and im quite interested in the EDGE, dumb question tho... did the level 2 tune decrease fuel mileage?? I love my 5.4, especially with my foot in it, until i notice damn near single digit MPG's on the message center, then i go back to grandpa driving and usually get around 15-17.

If you guys think the Edge is good, try an Edge/Gryphon with a 7-digit hex code matched custom tune from Power Hungry Performance. Not only will the custom tune account for all your mods, it will also be matched to your driving style and objectives.

Every review I've ever read said the difference between the Edge and a custom tune is like a stock truck to the Edge.

Did not reduce gas mileage. I get anywhere from 13-18 depending on my driving and how hilly the area is
