Until 1998 the Dana 50 was a TTB axle.

That means it has a u-joint in the middle.

So, your 50 have a u-joint in the middle, or straight axle like the 60?

Pics would help here...

You should be more careful in your reply's. You are 50% on your answers
Hub: Yes
Rotor: Yes
Spindles: NO! (A big safety reason to no, it doesn't engage into the knuckle)
stub shafts: No (Not even close, different u-joints and size)

I'm not just some guy posting like I know on the internet...
I've owned both parts, pics of said parts

I'll get axle shafts tonight (If I still have the 50 stuff...)

It's not really a matter of being careful, I have always read on here that the outers are the same. I never compared them side by side, so I didn't know there was a difference.

Thanks for setting the record straight though, I don't like putting bad information out there.

no worries, just glad the correct info is now out.
Give my web page a read if you want to learn some more about axles...

Next time I'll add a Dana 44 shaft

hope you don't mind MrN but I am reposting your pics on my club site since this came up recently
uc4x4.com... I have a 86 D60 and am gathering spare parts so its good to know. seems a D50 hub could get you home in a desperate situation but you wouldn't want to depend on it.
