She's Finally In!

I dropped the truck off yesterday at Vicari Performance for studs and a few other updates.

I feel like it's Christmas Eve!!!

For the sand dunes...I had inquired about going to the dunes earlier this year and Chad offered his spare whip for my truck.

Sounds like our fall GTG will be including a silver lake trip, we can do a test run then.

Heads are at the machine shop and should be done any day now. Gaskets were blown EVERYWHERE!!!

Other issues:
front driveshaft is toasted(bad double cardigan???)
#6 injector
#6 injector cup
coolant had PLENTY of fuel in it
IPR screen

I hoping the heads are OK

What do they want to fix the drive shaft? That's something you can pull out yourself and have done later. I think Weller Truck on eight mile does drive shafts. I can also give you a second opinion if you feel you need it, maybe stuff some grease into it if what I'm thinking is wrong with it to limp it along.

I will probably have him leave the driveshaft as I'm thinking I can do that on my own before winter.

Some jobs I hate doing. One of them being u-joints. I mean I have the press and all the fun toys, I just hate doing them. If the drive shaft was already out of the truck I'd just tell them to take care of it. But that's just me.
