skipping before and after headgaskets

my 04 truck was skipping , and pushing out water so i installed head studs , head gaskets , new oil cooler , egr delete , 8 new injectors , mill and pressure test heads , and now its skipping , and smoking some and has no power , and the fan blows hard right from start up and does not stop . so i just found these codes : uo 235 , P0603 , P1000 . Please help if u know of anything that may help me , IAM BROKE NOW ! thanks

ok dont worry about the the p0603 that is a voltage issue from low batteries. its the KAM (keep alive memory). p1000 is moniters not cleared.
I would try to clear the u0235 and see if it hard faults. if so I would start there. also was the engine pulled or the cab lifted to install studs? if a cab lift was done check connectors at left side of engine on inner fender.
how long did you drive the truck after it was done

when you did the job, if you did not position the notch in the crank pulley at 6 oclock you bent a pushrod if you're lucky, a valve if you're not

you are correct ! I just took it back apart and it has a bent push rod ! Why does the crank have to be at 6 oclock ?

as per the wsm the 6 oclock position is correct. the idea here is that none of the pistons are up. but lets look at this a little bit differently. the crank/cam is grear driven and there for to make valves hit and bend do to not setting the engine at6 oclock is really not possible. now there is a knowen issue with lifters pumping up and causing bent push tubes and for some reason its almost always #5. I have seen a buch with bent push tubes and never seen one bend a valve. If you find out that you do have a bent tube then just replace the tube and give it ago and see what happens.
