Junk yard watch report for Pull and Save

I went to Pull and Save last weekend and found out that someone already took the Bronco tailgate I was eyeing . The newest Ford truck they have there is a burned up 87 F150 and most of the useful parts are either taken or burnt. There are several 80-86 era Broncos but all the rust free tailgates are gone and most of the interior has been stripped. I guess I'll need to start looking at other junk yards for my truck/bronco needs...

If you want parts from Pull and Save you either have to get them when you see them or check back every week or so, they get new (old) stuff every week. And if you noticed the clientel there anything good won't last more than a day. I found a really nice Hellwig sway bar that fit my truck with minimum bracket changes. By the time I cleaned it up, re painted it, and built new strut brackets I have about $30 into it.

I'll keep an eye out but considering that I couldn't even find a 87-91 Bronco or F series (other than the burnt one), it'll be pretty hard to find a 92 and newer one.

However... I think the Bronco Graveyard sells a new aftermarket door shell for $150. Let me know if you are interested and I'll dig up their URL.

Bull, et al,

I noticed that some of you guys are looking for newer stuff (like '92-'97), and I've rarely seen anything '87-up at Pull-N-Save.

There are a couple of yards up in Greeley that have some newer stuff.

On the south side is a place called Riverside, lots of truck stuff up through '97, and even occasional '99+ SuperDuty trucks. One thing I noticed in particular is they seem to have quite a few SuperCabs and Crew Cabs.

Riverside pulls all the drivetrain components (engines, trannies, axles) and keeps them in a warehouse, and they leave the body/frame/interiors out in the yard. Prices are a bit steep for junk yard stuff, but they usually have some pretty nice parts available. I picked up a late-model XL bench seat for my F250, immaculate with no stains or visible fabric wear, paid $250 for it.

On the north side is a place called Anderson's. I haven't got up there yet, but I understand their prices are more reasonable than Riverside's.
