Alright just got me a 1989 ford f150 5.0 xl automatic long bed and my first problem was installing my radio that caused me some shortage to my control module and had that replaced twice within a week now the radio works but i went and removed my distributor to install my control module and did not mark of the placing of the distributor so when i installed it the engine would crank and start for a while then shut off found out i completely drained my battery and wound up getting a new one. I also replaced the coil to be sure everything else is good but guess my timing is out cause when i tried to start her up it would bottom out the new battery so i would like to know could i have damaged my module and brain as well? I am open to all pointers i am trying to get her right while learning basic mechanical skills as well so it is a drag but fun i guess in a sick way. help
