High schoolers building drag cars/trucks

Well, I'm 16, and I go to Mingus Union High School in Cottonwood, which is about 20 minutes west of Camp Verde. For the passed year, my employer has been helping with our Auto Tech class, getting us started building Drag Cars (YES, mostly Fords!!) Some of you may have heard of him, his name is Bob Wesiaghn, he owns B&R Auto Recycling. We've finally gotten one of our three projects running, and taken it to the track once or twice before. Its an old Comet(not sure of the year), its only got a 302 with a cam out of a 351, but its a fun car to drive. Our other car is a Maverick, again not sure of the year, which is currently bare body, building it ground up to be a show/race car. Our third car is a Buick Regal, Turbo V-6 that is almost finished. Hopefully we'll be at Speedworld the weekend of Sept. 6. Hopefully I can get some people to come cheer us on, or just make fun of our multi-colored car with "TRIX" painted on the side of it. Maybe this way we can round up some sponsers to help us out. I'm not doing this for my benefit, I'm already hooked to cars, have been my whole life, but to get other schools around the state to follow our lead in building these cars, having fun doing it, and inspire their students to get involved in auto. I love working on cars and trucks, and hopefully others can have the opportunity to love it the same way I do. I want to see you all at Speedworld, I'll post later to confirm the day and time we will be there, if we can get the brake situation on our Comet fixed in the next week.

Damn that sounds fun! I wish my school would do something like that.
