Check your DPFE and the egr passageways for coking/soot, clean.

As Aquananaut20 suggested, per the factory service manual P1401 indicates that Self-Test has detected DPFEGR circuit input above the maximum.

Possible causes:
-- DPFEGR open.

-- DPFEGR shorted to VREF or PWR.

-- VREF shorted to PWR.

-- SIG RTN open.

-- Damaged D.P.F. EGR sensor.

-- Damaged PCM.

The DPFE is a common problem with this vintage of Fords. Seems like a good place to start.

ok I would start here,

all you have to do is go to the rear end of the truck and place your hand on top of the center of the rear end you will see a wire connector there is a 10 mm or a 13 mm bolt on top remove the bolt and pull the sensor out this is called a abs sensor, clean and/or replace.

Changed the egr valve, DPFE and vacuum sensor, light went off for four days and now is back on. Any ideas? I checked all the wires and connections an they all appear in good shape.
Thank you for your time and help.
