I will be pulling the head soon to do a quick and dirty ring change. I also plan on installing new valve seals as I have a full gasket kit.
The one package in the photos is the 12 valve stem seals, but I am not sure about the other two items in the photos. What are these?

I am pretty sure those are gromets for the pushrod cover I could be wrong, I never used mine so they may be for a newer head?

 

Joeseph is correct on the grommets. The ones with the metal plate on one side are for the push rod cover. Since the bolts are in the center of the plate instead of around the edges, they need a good amount of pressure to seal the plate correctly. When you tighten down against the metal side, the rubber puts that pressure on the cover plate. Just don't overtorque them, they're measured in in/lbs.

As for the six rings, going by the list you have there, they *look* like they may be the 6 valve cover grommets. Although I have never seen a valve cover that uses grommets and have no idea how they're used.

the six small o rings could be for the injectors they come with the kit whether you need them or not.
