Hello all! - ? about good engine/tranny place in Edmonton
Greetings all!
As a former BC'er and now an Albertan it's nice to see a section for us "true" Canadians!
I just bought a 99 F250 CC/SB PSD AUTO, and am wondering where the good engine and tranny places are in or near Edmonton. Not that worried about the engine actually, but she has 180k on her and want to be ready if the tranny cooks, I'm on my 3rd with my 92 7.3 IDI, and the 99's former owner pulled a farily substantial fiver with it.
If i do have to replace it I want as bulletproof a tranny as I can afford, as I plan on hanging on to this truck for a looong time!
Oh... and does anyone know where in Edmonton you can get parts directly from IH? My bro in law saves a bundle back in the fraser valley buying injectors etc. from IH instead of Ford.
TIA!

Welcome to the Alberta/BC forum.
MOST CAA approved Transmission shops are Okay to go to.
In Calgary here, I am spoiled by being friends with a Top notch person at an National Transmission Shop
Maybe contact some of the local clubs Alberta Mustangs Auto Club (AMAC)where they go to get Tranny work done.
Ask for Nelson Bender.
