Ok, now what?

If its relevant my MIL lights up the first time the truck experiences no load in gear (coasting) after startup.

Use a hand held vacuum pump/gauge to apply some vacuum directly to the EGR valve to verify the EGR valve moves. If it does verify the vacuum circuit leading to the EGR is in good condition. Sometimes the EVR valve is no longer functioning (stuck closed), but still remains electrically connected. It would also be a wise idea to put a meter on the EGR position sensor to make sure it is reading correctly too. If you have a later model truck with a DPFE instead of the EVP sensor, they are well known to be borderline even when new. Ford has released updated versions many times to lessen false EGR related codes.

Code 334 indicates the EGR valve is probably not closing all the way due to build-up and/or faulty diaphragm. Remove the EGR and clean it.
