OD relay 65 F-100
After searching out the OD circuit on my pickup I found a bad terminal on the relay. The FOMOCO part number is C5AB-7A651-A. Several parts stores have tried to find a cross match with no results. Anyone have a line on one of these? I've tried repairing the terminal connection to the relay body by soldering but dont think it will last long.

The Ford part number is: C5AZ-7A651-A / Obsolete
Fits: 1965/72 F100 // 1965/67 Galaxie/LTD.
No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
What city are you located in/nearby? I might have sources for one a these.
But...since I know what kind of car/truck parts they deal in (not Ford)...you may have take it there and match it up.

That solenoid was used in many different vehicles. I replaced the one in mine with one I got from E-Bay, that was made for a '67 AMC Rambler. The wiring connectors were the later Ford style, but a wiring plug change is easy. They are not cheap, though.
People selling them on E-Bay often do not know this, and will advertise the solenoid as only for a specific model, such as a Hudson or Chevrolet. I did a quick search on E-Bay and found these for you, there are 2 excellent choices (and I didn't go through all the listings. Use "overdrive" as the search word, and run the query in "Parts and Accessories." Do not use any more words, or you will run the risk of excluding the mis-labeled auctions.):
360194662695 -
290356856299 - Excellent choice
200391136186 -
370265293220 - Another excellent choice!

Studebaker used the same 6 Volt & 12 Volt O/D relays as Ford / Hudson / Nash & Rambler / Kaiser/Frazer / Packard / ****** and etc.
I was going to tell the OP where he could get new one, as a Studebaker parts vendor in NorCal had them reproduced.
Then I got P/M from the following member, wanted to know what years were the same.
FTE member first today has a used C5AZ7A651A O/D relay, is gonna let the OP have it cheap.

Just wanna say a big THANK YOU to everyone who offered their help here! You guys are great! This forum is the best thing Ive come across since I started getting serious about finishing my truck. The truck was bought new by my Dad on 2/26/65 and I bought it in 1973, my senior year in high school. It's more a family memeber than a truck. There's lots more I'd like to do to it and I'm positive I can get lots of pointers and advice from all you great guys!
THANKS AGAIN!!!
