Hi

Hi Dave;
I am from the Comox Valley. I am currently in the preliminary stages of transplanting a 69 F250 body onto a 73 F250 frame. Right now I am stripping the 73 down to the frame. Too bad you are on the other side of the BC Ferry System as you might have some parts I may need
Neat project you are working on. Just wondering how the 390 is fitting into the 88 frame? A litle fabricating must be involved I mean those engine towers werent made for a 88. I assume you just bolted everything together, engine tranny and mounts. Set it in place where you wanted it to sit. Then just welded/bolted the towers to the frame, adding spacers as necessary. Or is there a better way? Or does it actually fit like factory?
Talk to you later.

Hi

Well havent got that far yet trying to find out just what problems Iam going to have. I have a 3 inch body lift in the 88 so that should help. I was hoping that all I had to do was bolt the 69 frame engine mounts onto the 88 frame in the same spot. But it sounds like its more complicated then that. Took me awhile to get some answers to find out how to mate the 390 tranny to my 1345 transfer case just have to change the out put shafts and the adapter. Any advice on what Iam facing would be a big help.

Thanks

Dave

Hi

Hopefully they will bolt right on the 88's frame....but I have some doubts the frames changed quite a bit after 79 and the last year of the FE was 76.
But you never know til you try Good luck.

Hi

There should be one around somewhere. They are called remote oil filters, in case you dont know what they are called
Try some of the online sites Wrenchead, jcwhitney just add ".com" I do not know if motorhaven sells them or not.
