Do you guys use a digital camera or scan the photo's in?
If you scan them, then the program that the scanner sends the photo to should have the capability to save the file as a JPEG. Choose the "save as" under the file menu and see if JPEG or JPG is one of your file type options. If not, there should be an "Export" option. Same thing here - choose the file type and follow through. You don't really need to change anything except the quality to determine the size of the file.
As for the digital camera images - the software is usually more complicated, but you could do the same thing as with the scanner program and either use the "Save as" or "Export".
Hope this helps.

92', Photo's look good. Nice job.
I ran into the same problem. Evedently my originals were too big also. I made an adjustment to my camera, (Canon Power Shot A40), actually reducing the picture quality, I think. (This digetal camera stuff is all new to me). I just purchased my 1st digetal camera last week. After I made the adjustment I had no problem posting my shots in the gallery. Now I just have to work on the avatar shot. Jake.
