12x16.5 Wheels... tire suggestions?
My 2003 F-250 XLT 4x4 has a 12" Skyjacker Liftkit and the tires are 19.5/44-16.5 LT TSL Bogger Super Swampers... they rub the leaf springs on 1/2 turn. I would like to keep the 44" height maybe even go up to 46" or 48" but have them less wide... any tire suggestions for the 12x16.5 rims?

Yeah... that may be the route I have to take. I bought a cheap set of 37" Military Hummer tires/wheels from the local tire shop, compared them next to the 44s and a 35... will be running the 37s until I can find some 44s that are not as wide.
If the width of the tire was cut down would height also be lost?
I'm trying to keep the 44" height but cutdown on the 19.5 tire width.

I've been thinking of going with these 10/46-20 (395/85r20) IROKs on eBay:

The entire Irok lineup can be seen here:

Here are some 49" Iroks beside some 44" Super Swampers:

Think about what you are doing and what you are trying to accomplish.
What is going to happen when you go to a larger diameter tire? The amount of distance that the tire will move increases as the diameter increases. You would have to run a tire that is only a few inches wide in order to prevent the tire from hitting the leaf spring.
Your answer is in the backspacing of the wheel and not the tire width. Trying to find a narrow tire and a larger diameter one at the same time is counter productive.
Moving the wheel away from the leaf is what you have to do.
Keep in mind that the unit bearings are not going to like this very much. They are already screaming now, and more stress on them is not going to make them happy.
From the pictures, it appears that you have some more important issues.
That invterted "t" steering is crying for some help. That angle iis awfully severe.
I also see a lack of front driveshaft. Angle on that thing too severe as well?

Never thought about that. I'd like to stay within the 40-44 range, just less wide... may try backspacers, not sure yet. I'll have to check it out, didn't think to look at it when I pulled the front drive shaft. Yeah, it was streched to the max so I took it off to have it extented a couple inches by a machine shop, going to pick it up tomorrow or Tuesday depending on when they are finished with it.

Found a guy at a tire company that will order a set of 42x15 TSL Bias tires and mount them on the 12x16.5 rims as an even trade for one of our Club Car or E-Z-Go gas utility golf carts... woohoo!
