TICKING NOISE maybe a Lifter

Hello Everyone,

Well it's seems that everytime i right something in here its always bad news with my truck... Well here's the deal, just got the truck back from the Dealer after Blowing the Headgaskets. I had them put in as well ARP HEad Studs & The EGR Delete Kit. Motor Is running good, Idle is fine all my aftermarket gauges read Normal & While Driving everything is great!!

But heres the problem, When i REV up the Engine or while Driving i hear a ticking Sound... MAinly sounds Like a LIFTER. Sometimes the sound is there sometimes its not. i brought it back to the dealer today and the MEchanic is Baffled at what it could be.

HAs any had a similar problem??

Could it be that they put in Regular Oil instead of Synthetic that i normally run?

Please Help!!

The truck is a 04 F350 / 6.0l / 100,000 miles

Thanx,
Mike

Does it appear to be coming from the drivers side? My has always had a noise like that but appears to be normal. Sometimes sounds a little like an exhaust leak. Good luck.

Sounds like mine. Like yours, mine has been to the dealer several times and they don't seem to be concerned with it.

I bought it used and have put about 6,000 miles on it. I had the oil cooler and EGR cooler replaced right after I bought it and had all the services done at the dealer. It has the latest flash and the guys at the dealer say it sounds normal to them.
