What brand of glow plugs were used? Some plugs have been knowen to burn out after just one or two uses. Motorcraft beru ZD9 are the ones to use in the 94. The return lines is a common place for air intrusion. It is very possible that the return line tees were disturbed when the glow plugs were installed. There are two orings under the tees on the injectors that get hard, and when the caps are moved it breaks the seal and the orings won't reseal.

Used autolite glow plugs. Nothing else was disturbed ... Is it possible injectors are leaking off? EV thing on top of motor & fuelpump are dry as a bone.

what does the truck act like when you try to start it? Just turn overand not fire, or start, run for a few seconds then die? The wait to start light should stay on for at least 10 seconds when the engine is cold. If one or more glow plugs are bad it will make the controler short cycle. Autolight plugs have been known to burn out after just one time use.
