Hi Guys,
I am replacing both front hubs on my 2004 F-250 FX4 SB Super Cab 4WD (5.4 V8) 146K
Right front is 'clicking'/'clacking'. Turning the wheen unlocked/2WD engages axle/universal. From what I have read, this is indicative of hub bearing wear-out.
I need help ensuring I am buying the correct hub assemblies from Napa.
Specifically, when selecting between 'coarse' or 'fine' threads, what is correct for my truck?
When referring to 'fine' or 'coarse' threads, are they referring to the Hub-to-Knuckle Suds (4X) or the Wheel Studs?
I think I need the 'fine' but want to be sure.
Here is a link to what I intend to buy this evening (scroll to BR930438).
I am pretty sure yours will be the "fine" threads. I asked the same question last weekend when I did my drivers side hub on my 01. Mine are coarse. The threads are referring to the wheel studs themselves.
