Rear window swap 88ish to 85?
I stripped some parts from a newer truck years back ( Just before I had it crushed ) and want to swap my leaky sliding rear window in my 85 with the one piece from the newer 88ish. I cant remember what year it was exactly, but the panels behind the seats have the speakers and newer seat belts unlike the 80-86. The dash instrument panel, and radio bezel seem the same. I just need to know if the glass and the weather stripping will fit correctly?
Thanks

The windows are interchangeable, 1973-1999 actually.
1973-1983: F-100
1973-1996: F-150/F-250
1997: F-250HD/F-350
1973-1999: F-600/F-900
Be aware however that the one piece rear window was updated in 1980. The 1973-1979 has thicker glass, and a different seal as a concequence. You can swap them 1973-1996, you just have to make sure the seal and window match or it won't seal correctly.
Also be aware that the factory slider was updated in 1982. 1973-1981 uses the same factory slider and seal. 1982-1996/7 uses the modern slider and different seal.
Part numbers for the appropriate seals for the apropriate windows upon request.

Also the factory slider has drain holes at the bottom. They have a tendency to plug up.

Im not sure about the drain holes, but the little plastic clips that the glass slides on are destroyed and are impossible to open/close and the wind causes a whistling noise, and the leaking prob as you said the drain holes are clogged.. Its almost 25 years, and I have a free window so its time.
