dry start

just wondering if anyone else has this prob.. 07' f-150 5.4, when starting after it sits awhile it dry starts bad, and the "low oil pressure" warning comes on in the message center.. i have tried "lucas oil" and even changed to synthetic oils.. what can be done to fix this issue. afraid that it will damage the valve train if it continues for much longer..
any suggestions??

Are you using a Motorcraft oil filter? if not give it a try they have an anti-drain valve in them.

Mobil 1 also has one with the same set up.

Mine does it even with the Motorcraft filter. Been doing it for over 100k.

Mine is the 4.6 and the "Check gauges" comes on with the tone for a second after it sits for a while.

no i am using a Fram TG filter. My 04' explorer does the same thing and the dealer said "thats just how it is." ill try a MC filter next time, cant hurt to try .. thanks. while i got your atten. what about torq converter noise. i notice it mainly in reverse when i am backing to a trailer or just feathering the gas in R. hard to explain the noise but thats what i got.. thanks again.
