I know I'm going to regret this!

I read a post on the HAMB in which a person was asking if $750 was a decent price for rust bucket '48 F-1 he found in a junkyard. He stated, "I love these monkey face trucks". I've never heard of this reference, and even though I know I'm going to regret it, I thought I had to share it with this board. Many people have referred to the '51-52 models as having "Manure spreader" grills, I might have used it a few times myself so I guess it's only fair to help the poor misguided '51-52 owners by giving them some fight back material.

Personally I don't see a resemblance:

Yep, You should start regretting it right about.... Now! LOL
Seems like I had heard that term before and now I know where it came from, Thanks Bob

I just picked up a 48 Monkey face truck F-1 and a 52 (the better looking truck) F-2 the one I mentioned above with AC.
Only reason I got the "Monkey Face one is it looked like the engine was somewhat fresh? can't wait to pick them up and get more pictures. not of the Monkey face one, just the good looking one

That is kind of funny! Personally do like those trucks. I have never heard of that reference, but I do see a resemblance.

I gotta hand it to ya Bob, you've got a massive pair! This is going to get interesting.

Still, nothing can top that manure spreader pic you've made

I don't know about all that monkey-face stuff. I personally always thought that the '48-'50's looked kinda like that purple grinning idiot Barney. I love you... You love me...

I'll take my '51 and '52 with there aggressive, stylish snarl any day!
