Installed factory Expedition subwoofer....not working....HELP!

I bought second hand subwoofer, I installed without problems.
When went to plug in I checked the double wire, I had 12VDC, the other three wire plug only gives mV readings. Not to sure what to look for....Is there something underdash area I need to hook up? Thanks for any help...Tim

Installed factory Expedition subwoofer....not working....HELP!

Hey can you help me. I have a '98 Eddied Bauer Expedition with a blown Subwoofer (Mach audio). I removed all the screws from teh speaker, but I cannot pull it out!! Won't budge! What is the procedure for taking out the subwoofer and replacing it.

Thanks!

Tim, there is a relay in the fuse panel which controls the sub. Make sure that you have a relay in the space for it. When my stereo quit I got everything to come on except the sub. I wiggled some of the relays and it worked. Also there is a fuse for it under the hood on the drivers side in the box on the wheelwell. Be sure to check those also. As for removing the sub from the enclosure, it does not come out from what I've seen. It is a complete unit which is held in place by the bolts around the enclosure itself. Crutchfield has some nice looking replacements with amps already built in, and they plug right into the factory wiring. Prices range from $199 up. Hope this helps!

I have a 2001 expy Eddie Bauer and my sub does not work I saw the post about a relay do you know what position that relay is at in the fuse block. Is it number 1 by chance in the cab fuse block?

Qman your sub wont budge because there is one more bolt holding the magnet of the sub to the back of the enclosure. If it isnt yet removed from the truck, using your hand feel directly in the back of the subwoofer on the enclosure. You should feel a big bolt, unscrew it and the sub will come off.
