Thanks to FTE, Clay, and Pete

I just bought the 6637 and CCV mod last week from Clay with Pete's cover. I just want to say thanks to everyone who put info into this project. I got my package on Fri (thanks again Clay) and installed everything on Sat. The directions were so easy, Give reps to those that gave pics and info. This was by far so easy to do. I love the "Darth Vaider" sound coming from under the engine. It sounds awesome. Thanks again floks really appreciate all the help and the information ya'll give. This is a great Forum and you will see me around for awhile to come.
Since I can post pics now here is my baby too.

Thanks Huck and Platinum Pete. Funny you should mention that. I think I started to get PMS before I bought the truck. I have only had it for a couple of weeks. Next is the 4" exhaust turbo back. Haven't decided on which one to use yet. My wife told me that she thought that all this would end upon me finding my truck. I told her the journey has just started.

Cannot vouch for the sound on the 5" but there won't be a performance gain going from 4 to 5". More a matter of personal preference. Congrats on the new to you truck and the start of PMS.

I have to find the thread, but per Diane ( DP ) there is a performance loss on a 5"..

I think you need to do a almost freebie mod, and pull that foil off..

X2 on the foil delete and might want to change that radiator hose too, get it out from between the belt. As far as the exhaust, I would check with Clay, I think he had a sale recently, not sure if it is still on but he will take care of you either way.

Maybe... it depends on the engine's horsepower output.

I've spoken with a couple of performance exhaust companies who have been in the racing side of the business for a long time, and the ir experience has been that when you're below 400 Hp, anything larger than a 4" system creates backpressure within the exhaust piping due to "overcooling" of the gases near the outer surface of the pipe. When the exhaust gases cool, they decrease in volume, and if the system is too large the outer gases near the pipe's surface cool more quickly and create turbulence within the pipe, and this causes back pressure because of the disturbed flow pattern. In fact, one of the companies (Pinnacle) says that the downpipe itself needs to remain at 3.5" for the first initial length adn transition into the 4" diameter before it ends.

Where does the hose go then? Does Clay have this?
