Steering Box 52 Ford

Does anyone know what type of fluid they used to put in these things? i.e. W80/90, grease, etc? When I took mine apart it appeared to have grease in it, but I'm not sure. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott

My shop manual states that the steering gear case used SAE 90 gear oil.
Like you, I found mine to be packed full of grease when I got it.
