PHP Gryphon

Is anyone running this programer from power hungry performance? I would like to get some extra power for my truck but also need gauges. I could get power and gauges in one unit. I will only put about 5000 miles a year on the truck and bought it to mainly tow our 26 ft camping trailer that only is about 6000 pounds fully loaded. I will also use the truck to go snowboarding in. Looking for feedback of people actually running this programer.

I can't help with the Gryphon, but I am running Bill's tunes. I've used other tuners before including Bully Dog and DP, and by far PHP tunes work the best for me. Smoother power, better EGT control and better MPG are a few of the things that come to mind. The cab display would nave been nice but I already had my guages.

Good morning! Just wanted to let you know that we sell only a handful of 7.3L Gryphons compared to gasoline Gryphons -- or even 6.0L Gryphons, for that matter. Since the 7.3L can use a chip OR a programmer, most customers opt for a chip since it has switch-on-the-fly capability, which is why you won't find people clamoring to jump into your post.

That being said, any of the calibrations that we offer on a chip -- technically -- can be put into a Gryphon. If you're looking for feedback on our calibrations, you should be able to find that easily (good folks like Barney... or you can ask Orezona... or kwikkordead... or cleatus12r... sorry, not sure which of our customers are on here!). If you'd like feedback on the programmer (ease of use, etc.), you may want to look on our forum.

Hope that helps!

For what you are doing you will be absolutely thrilled with 60 and 80 tow for pulling the camper. I don't know where you live but you mentioned snowboarding so I'd also have a stock tune and 80 daily driver. I think you'd be happy with the Phoenix 6-position chip and gauges. Like Corey said, switching tunes on the fly is a luxury we have. I recommend taking advantage of it.

My PHP tunes are spot on. Shifts great and engine sounds healthy. Hope this helps.
