stock exh. pipe size on 93 302

Whats the stock Pipe size on a 93 F150 302 truck, BEFORE the 2nd cat.

the 2nd cat is all rusted out an i wanna get it off there before it falls off and put a system from the 1st cat to the back..., it necks down to 2.25 from soemething that looks pretty big.

I just can't tell if its 2.75" or 3" ..keep in mind i'm talking the outlet of the 1st cat.

thanks

Thanks so much man,

I guess a 3" adapter would work?? thats such a weird size,

Isn't a 3" cat back a little much on a 220,000k 302 stock ??? lol i think i can answer my own queston on that one

I'm not even going for power, its slow and i don't care, it will always be slow, just needs to get me to the jobsite/school and back.. it burns 2qts of oil every 2 tanks of gas so she's a little worn out lol, my exhaust fell off and sounds like a school bus and i just want something that sounds good.

i have a 2.25" in 2.5" out magnaflow 14" here i wanna use..

With exhaust measurements, Is it ID or OD measurement??? always wondered. Probly inside....so that pipe would come out about perfect to be 2.75"...great

Does everybody agree?? 2.75" ???

i can't believe nobody else has done this, hooked a glasspack right to the back of the 2nd cat and it sounded stock, gotta get rid of that thing.

I have 3 inch pipe connected to mine at that point. Its welded and fits fine. I don't have an adapter.

I don't see the point to running 3 inch pipe if the muffler does not have a 3 inch inlet.

When you say that the Magnaflow you have is 2.25 in and 2.5 out, is it a single in dual out? If so then the inlet should be the larger size.

Yea its a SI/DO . offset to offset which kinda sucks because i gotta mount it vertical so it doesn't hit the driveshaft. i think.

thanks for answering my question.
