ALOT less problems. the're built and designed to go along time under alot of work. the hardest thing will prolly be a fuel pump because they are hard to get at.

the one thing I have noticed is being "nice" to you truck doesn't help them at all. I have almost a dozen friends that drive PSD's and the few that tootle around town, accelerate slow, let them warm up for 20 minutes in the winter, freak out if there over 5K on a oil change, bla bla bla.... they are the two that I always have to help them fix there truck. they need to be driven to keep the seals lubed. they need to be worked to get the oil hot and water free, they need to have the carbon burned out of the exhaust every now and then, although I prefer daily.

don't be affraid to get on the freeway and put it to the floor, I have been flogging my '97 for 6 years, it had 162K when I bought it and now it has 317k. I have put in two starters, two alternators, three u joints, lots of front brakes, ball joints, 4 glow plugs, the third set of tires is about done, and just last month I had to do one injectors otherwise the other 7 are the originals!!! so is the trans, which currently has 117K miles on the oil.....
